Can CBD Really Help With Insomnia? In this modern hectic world, many people suffer from insomnia and are heading to the cabinet not for medication – but for a little-known natural product named CBD (short for cannabidiol).
So what is CBD? This is explained in a lot more detail on the home page, however in a nutshell it is derived from the cannabis sativa L plant. This is not the same as the cannabis that people get high from (cannabis indica) but rather from the plant known as industrial hemp rather than marijuana. Industrial hemp is low on THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and high in CBD. It is the THC element that will get you high and so is illegal in most countries.
This is with the exception of medical marijuana which is legal only under licence to grow and use.
Everyone needs a good nights rest...
Insomnia problems can occur due to combination of many symptoms, like chronic pain, mood swings etc. Even a slight sort or discomfort can keep you up at night, turning and tossing in your bed. Sleeping pills are one way to try fixing your problem, but they come with numerous side effects. These side effects are known like, dizziness, headache, stomach pain etc, or ever worse.
CBD is also shown to treat people who suffer from post-traumatic stress or any kind of chronic pain.
